OUR STORY

Founded in 2019 by Professor Wahib Salha, originally from Natal, RN, Brazil, WĀHIBJJ was created with the vision of bringing authentic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to the Manawatū region. Built on strong lineage roots and years of experience, the academy combines traditional martial arts values with modern coaching methods, focusing on safety, structured learning, and long-term development.

At WĀHIBJJ, every journey is built on respect, discipline, perseverance, and the pursuit of constant self-improvement. More than teaching techniques, our mission is to help children, teens, and adults grow in confidence, character, and resilience — both on and off the mats.
